March 12th was a long night for the eMoney team launching
the AdvisorPlatform upgrade - 4.0. The new release is the culmination of almost a year’s worth of work
enhancing the system with over 100 new features. There are three major new enhancements:
goal planning, alliance based partnerships and increased security.
Twice yearly
eMoney executives meet with some of the country’s top advisors to develop
a “wish list” of features for the next release. The 4.0 release is
about flexibility with the introduction of Goal Planning. Edmond Walters, CEO
of eMoney Advisor says: “We implemented this new feature as a direct result
of input from advisors, who wanted to reach a broader spectrum of clients. This
new functionality makes our product solution even more versatile in meeting the
needs of a highly competitive and diverse wealth management market.” With
goal planning an advisor can address a client’s need to plan for retirement,
weddings and other major life expenses.
The Alliance Partnership Program is an innovative feature
now available on the AdvisorPlatform. The Program enables advisors to share designated
aspects of a client’s website with alliance partners (such as attorneys and
accountants) - a collaboration which will assist everyone in gaining a true picture
of a client’s needs.
Continually enhancing security measures is of primary importance
to the eMoney team. The AdvisorPlatform has the highest level of approved encryption available.
The newly released Version 4.0 has been certified Hacker Safe™, which means over 6,000
vulnerabilities are scanned every fifteen minutes, meeting the highest published government
standards mandated by HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, Sarbanes-Oxley and other federal legislature
and credit card issuers (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX). The intrusion detection software Tripwire, has
also been implemented on all eMoney servers. Tripwire is a change auditing software that detects
and exposes unintended changes, circumvention of change management processes and compromises of security.
